With Mar Rosso and Anna Asian as your teachers, both of whom have successfully taken public exams, you know you’ll be in good hands!
Ace the Secondary Opos with APAC
The course is focused on giving realistic and effective recommendations for the sections of the examination, adapted to the new requirements: planning, theoretical topics and practical cases.
Content and Methodology
The course will be focused on providing realistic and effective recommendations for the three (if nothing changes) different parts of the exam: planning the syllabus, topics and practical cases. The trainees will have the opportunity to write a sample introduction as well as pedagogical implications for different relevant topics. If they wish, they will be able to share their learning situations and plans they are designing in specific sessions to ensure they are on track. Both the participants and the trainees will provide each other with feedback and ideas for improvement.
Topics
The 69 topics will be divided into different blocks, and they will be approached from a general perspective by the trainers, so the trainees will have a good basis to answer any of them. The trainers will also present several relevant topics from each of the blocks. Trainees will be expected to write the introduction and the pedagogical implications of one block. A written “temari” will not be given, although there will be some useful links in the virtual area to related documents.
Plans
The trainers will provide learners with theoretical knowledge, ideas, and recommendations on how to design their year plan. These ideas and recommendations will be based on the latest exam call and aligned with LOMLOE directives. They will not provide a complete plan, nor will they give individual corrections to the plans. However, participants will have the opportunity to share the learning situations they are designing in specific sessions to ensure they are on track.
Practical cases
The trainers will provide the trainees with some ideas on how to approach the defense of this part (previous issues, goals, activities and assessment). Trainees will be expected to contribute some ideas too.
Google classroom platform
The course will have a Google classroom where the trainers will add documents and information. Also, the trainees will be expected to upload their creations there (topics and practical cases), so all of them can have access to all the documents.
Q&A
Is there a minimum number of students to launch the course?
Yes, we need a minimum of 10 students so we can launch it.
Is it possible to pay in installments?
The course has to be paid before the start. We think the price is a very competitive one, especially taking into account the expertise of the three trainers and the amount of hours.
Will there be a trial period to see if the course fits our needs?
There will not be a trial period. Our teacher trainers have enough expertise to give us full confidence on the course they're building. You can check a snapshot of their trajectories in their Biodata of our yearly conference.
Will it be possible to resign and get the money back if the course doesn’t fit expectations?
The way the course is designed is thoroughly explained before the trainer accepts to participate in it. Therefore, the trainer will not be able to get the money back in case she decides to resign.
What would happen in case of missing a class?
If you miss a class and there were materials provided in that class, you will receive those materials. Finding up the information to understand this material and the contents dealt with will be your responsibility. This works much in the same way as if you were attending a face-to-face course.
Will there be material provided?
There will be some materials and links provided to help you prepare better. We will not be providing a full "temari" though.
Will the classes be recorded and provided?
The classes won't be recorded. Unfortunately, some of our trainers in the past have found their materials being shared with people that hadn't trained with them. That has made them decide not to share the videos of the sessions, obviously.
Will the trainers correct my plan?
No, in this case the trainers will not correct the plan. The course is designed to be a springboard for ideas and recommendations for the trainees regarding the different parts of the process rather than a step-by-step guidance and supervision.
